Good Morning Friends,
Quotes of the week:
As a child I received instruction both in the Bible and in the Talmud. I am a Jew, but I am enthralled by the luminous figure of the Nazarene. No one can read the Gospels without feeling the actual presence of Jesus. His personality pulsates in every word. No myth is filled with such life. – Albert Einstein
The Puritans were highly educated people (the literacy rate for men in early Massachusetts and Connecticut was between 89-90 percent) who founded colleges, taught their children to read and write before the age of six, studied art, science, philosophy, and other fields as a way of loving God with the mind. – J.P. Moreland

- A Question Mormons Can’t Answer – When the Mormons (also known as members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints) come to my door, I always ask them the same question because it’s a question Mormons can’t answer. I do this because this question is essential to their beliefs: https://www.equip.org/articles/a-question-mormons-cant-answer/

- Does God Whisper? Does the Bible teach that Christians are to listen for God’s voice to guide their decisions? Part of the difficulty of addressing these issues is a massive ambiguity in the phrase “hearing God’s voice.” For some, any intervention by God in their lives—conviction of sin, insight into Scripture, godly wisdom from a Christian brother or sister, an idea that seems to come from nowhere that bears wonderful fruit—can be called “hearing the voice of God” because all entail God’s personal, intimate—and what I take to be completely biblical—involvement with them personally. Ambiguities like this lead easily to misunderstanding, so let me tell you what I am not challenging. I am not questioning the normal experience of a deep, profound intimacy with God that is sometimes so emotionally overwhelming it leaves us weeping in awe before Him. I am not questioning whether God can work sovereignly to give us thoughts, insights, ideas, or plans. In fact, I’m sure He does (though I will offer some qualifications about how I think we should assess such things). I am not denying the work of God in our lives through all kinds of secondary causes—counsel, circumstances, personal gifts or capabilities—to accomplish His sovereign purposes…:

- Is It Truly Jewish To Believe in Jesus? A Christian, a Jewish Christian, and a Jew walk into a video…. Are the evidences for Jesus as Messiah, Jesus as divine, and Jesus bodily resurrected compelling to a modern Jew? What about Jews in antiquity? Ben Shapiro doesn’t think so. Jeff Morgan of Jews for Jesus and Dr. William Lane Craig take a look at some key objections from Dr. Craig’s previous conversation on the Ben Shapiro show. Dr. Craig defends and explains his positions here. As a Jewish follower of Jesus, Jeff adds Old Testament prophecies and Rabbinic commentary in support of what Dr. Craig argues from the Bible: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=unflXuPJHJM
Jesus then left that place and went into the region of Judea and across the Jordan. Again crowds of people came to him, and as was his custom, he taught them. Mark 10:1
In this you rejoice, though now for a little while, if necessary, you have been grieved by various trials, so that the tested genuineness of your faith–more precious than gold that perishes though it is tested by fire–may be found to result in praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ. 1 Peter 1:6-7
Blessings to you all
