Good morning friends,
Quote of the week:
“You’re raising all of these objections because you’re sleeping with your girlfriend. Am I right?” All the blood drained from the young man’s face. He was caught. He was rejecting God because he didn’t like God’s morality. – Frank Turek

- What does “abide in him” mean in 1 John 3:6? | GotQuestions.org – First John 3:6 conveys an important truth of Christian living: “No one who abides in him keeps on sinning; no one who keeps on sinning has either seen him or known him” (ESV). In the same chapter, John clarifies the concept of abiding when he states, “Whoever keeps his commandments abides in God, and God in him. And by this we know that he abides in us, by the Spirit whom he has given us” (verse 24, ESV). To abide in God means to engage in fellowship with Him by keeping His commandments through the power of the Spirit. John offers a clear picture of what those commandments are: “And this is his commandment, that we believe in the name of his Son Jesus Christ and love one another, just as he has commanded us” (1 John 3:23, ESV). Everything expected of a Christian can be encapsulated in these two commandments.: https://www.gotquestions.org/abide-in-Him.html

- Is Andy Stanley a False Teacher? Andy Stanley’s teachings on the Old Testament, the Bible, and homosexuality raise significant concerns from a conservative Christian perspective. His approach, deemed excessively seeker-sensitive, is seen as compromising on foundational Biblical doctrines. Stanley’s views on the Old Testament and the relevance of Scripture are perceived as undermining the authority and inerrancy of the Bible. His stance on homosexuality is viewed as a deviation from traditional Biblical teachings on sexual morality. These issues highlight the need for discernment in teachings and adherence to traditional Biblical interpretations.: https://reformedwiki.com/andy-stanley-false-teacher

Simon Peter and another disciple were following Jesus. Because this disciple was known to the high priest, he went with Jesus into the high priest’s courtyard, but Peter had to wait outside at the door. The other disciple, who was known to the high priest, came back, spoke to the girl on duty there and brought Peter in. John 18:15-16
